This fun-filled class engages young children in an encouraging and safe

environment that allows their creativity to flourish. This class helps build and

develop reading and speaking skills, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline

and spatial and sensory awareness. Basic performance skills and Christian

principles are taught. Participants perform in the annual spring musical

production.

   INTERMEDIATE

   Grades 3-6

This high-energy class provides a fun and safe environment for students to discover and develop their talents and faith. Students gain confidence through theatre exercises, improvisation, scene study, monologues, public speaking, and singing & movement. This class prepares the student for auditions and performances for theatre and for school presentations and speeches. Participants perform in the annual spring musical production.

ADVANCED

Grades 6-8

Tuesdays 3:30-5:00

This advanced class challenges middle and high school students to improve audition, performance, and life skills, and  strengthens their Christian values.  Professional acting techniques are stressed through advanced theatre exercises and teaching/mentoring opportunities. Tools such as objective, moment before, in-depth character and scene development, and sensitivity to subtext will be learned and will prepare students for more challenging comedic and dramatic roles. Participants will have the opportunity to student-produce/direct a short performance in the fall and will perform in the annual spring musical.

Curtain Call Academy will travel to your home or church location for a fun and interactive theatre class designed specifically for your group!  Students will perform a one-act play alongside the other Curtain Call students in May. Eight-student minimum.
